The **Members Only** is currently seeking Deputy District Attorneys at the II, III and IV levels for multiple locations throughout Riverside County, including Blythe. Responsibilities:
- Investigate and prepare all types of cases for prosecution
- Present and prosecute cases in all courts within the State
- Interview and advise law enforcement officers and the public
- Negotiate with the defense and act as a senior deputy for cases in courts
- Perform legal research and apply legal principles and practices
- Train and supervise other deputies
- Prepare and present evidence and arguments for the prosecution of difficult felony cases
- Negotiate with defense counsel and perform specialized legal research and litigation
- Assign, review, and evaluate the work of other deputies
- Direct the planning, implementation, and evaluation of specialized projects
- Act for superiors in their absence or at their direction
Minimum Qualifications:
Deputy District Attorney II:
- Salary: $101, - $132, annually
- Experience: One year of experience at the Deputy District Attorney I level with the District Attorney's office of Riverside County or one year of experience in the practice of law
Deputy District Attorney III:
- Salary: $137, - $176, annually
- Experience: One year of experience as a Deputy District Attorney II in Riverside County or two years of experience in the practice of criminal law or three years of experience in the practice of law
Deputy District Attorney IV:
- Salary: $144, - $210, annually
- Experience: One year of experience as a Deputy District Attorney III in Riverside County or one year of experience in an equivalent class in another prosecuting attorney's office in California
All levels require active membership in the State Bar of California and possession of a valid California Driver's License. Candidates must also be able to pass an extensive background check.
