Job Description:

The Transactions Contracting Team within the Legal Operations and Commercial Law division of GEICO’s Law Department is seeking an experienced and dynamic Associate Manager - Contract Management. This individual must have a proven track record of independently negotiating and redlining various types of commercial contracts. The ideal candidate should be able to handle a high volume of assignments in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and track progress to meet deadlines. They must also possess excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with internal stakeholders and third party suppliers. The position requires analytical skills and the ability to identify process improvements to make positive impacts and changes. The selected candidate must also have the ability to think independently, make decisions under pressure, and manage a large volume of high-visibility projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Independently negotiate and redline various types of commercial contracts
- Handle a high volume of assignments in a fast-paced environment
- Prioritize tasks and track progress to meet deadlines
- Coordinate, communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders and third party suppliers
- Identify process improvements and make positive impacts and changes
- Think independently and make decisions under pressure
- Manage a large volume of high-visibility projects

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
- Proven track record of identifying and implementing improvements to business processes
- 5 years of experience negotiating contracts (preferably IT and telecommunications)
- Experience with ensuring customer requirements are met during the negotiation process
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Experience communicating with senior management and responding to their inquiries and requests

Desired Qualifications:

- Master's in Finance, Business Administration, IT Major, or Juris Doctor
- PMP certification
- Familiarity with software licensing metrics
- Experience with a large software vendor
- Experience with contract management systems
- Experience with Cloud computing
