Job Title: Commercial Litigation Associate
Job Responsibilities:
**Members Only** is seeking a junior or mid-level associate to join its Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice. The candidate will be involved in various aspects of litigation from inception through trial and appeal. Responsibilities include conducting legal research and writing memoranda, drafting complex case evaluations, drafting pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents, and conducting, propounding, and responding to discovery, such as documents, written discovery, and depositions. The associate will also be expected to work collaboratively with clients, witnesses, experts, and other counsel, and be a key member of the team handling high-stakes and complex disputes.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates should have 2-5 years of complex litigation experience and possess excellent academic credentials with proven analytic abilities. Ideal candidates will have extensive commercial litigation experience, with some exposure to insurance litigation. Strong writing and case management skills, direct experience handling clients and adversaries, and excellent oral advocacy skills are required. Familiarity with e-discovery, data/document management applications, and related technologies is essential. Candidates must be licensed to practice law in the State of California and be in good standing. Previous law firm experience is strongly preferred. The application must include a cover letter detailing complex litigation experience, a resume, a law school transcript, and at least one writing sample.
Salary Information:
The salary range for this position, pursuant to California law, is $235,000 - $325,000, depending on experience. **Members Only** offers a competitive salary and benefits package, which includes medical, dental, vision, 401k, short-term/long-term disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, paid holidays, and discretionary bonuses. Depending on years of experience, **Members Only** associates may hold the title of Associate, Managing Associate, or Senior Managing Associate.
