Job Title: Associate Attorney
Job Responsibilities:
- Client Advocacy: Represent clients in a specific geographical area or practice area with support from a multi-faceted team.
- Matter Economic Projections: Project the value of services, estimate fees and expenses, and build a matter budget for communication with the law firm and clients.
- Clear Communication and Expectation Setting: Communicate financial obligations to clients and maintain a strategy to ensure retained funds cover projected time into a matter.
- For Litigators - Court Appearances & Litigation: Maintain a schedule of hearings, trials, and client conferences, advocating effectively in court.
- Case Management: Oversee and manage legal matters with a paralegal team, ensuring thorough documentation, strategic planning, and execution.
- Negotiation & Dispute Resolution: Pursue favorable outcomes for clients through settlement, mediation, negotiation, and litigation as necessary.
- Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work with professionals such as CPAs, social workers, mental health experts, and others to advance client matters.
- Strategic Growth & Business Development: Engage in networking, marketing, and community involvement to develop and expand the law firm’s litigation and transactional practices.
Education and Experience Information:
- JD and admission to the Ohio Bar (Required).
- Minimum 3-5 years of litigation experience.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage time and tasks with a legal team.
- Track record of network building, business development, and community engagement.
- Ability to work efficiently, manage high-stress situations, and effectively organize a legal practice.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using case management systems and remote collaboration tools.
- Ability to travel occasionally to attend hearings and trials.
Salary Information:
- Compensation is a Base Plus Total Compensation Model ranging from $60,000 to $100,000.
- Includes health, vision, dental, and life insurance with a 40% employee contribution and 60% covered by the law firm.
- Paid disability insurance, 401k with up to 4% match, updated annual HRA payment, paid vacation days increasing with tenure, paid sick days, holidays, school visitation, bereavement leave, jury duty, maternity leave, professional development and CLE, travel and mileage.
