Job Responsibilities

As a Litigation Associate at Ropers Majeski, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of cases and develop your skills in case strategy, pre-trial efforts, and trial matters. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

- Managing cases from inception through trial, including preparing pleadings, motions, and briefs, managing discovery, preparing for depositions, and conducting legal research and writing
- Participating in settlement discussions and negotiations
- Collaborating with a team of attorneys and legal professionals to develop effective case strategies
- Representing clients in court and at trial
- Conducting legal research and analysis to support case arguments

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following qualifications:

- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials
- Minimum of three years of experience in general civil litigation with a focus on products litigation or high-volume litigation (experience with Federal Court is a plus)
- Active membership in good standing with the California Bar
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and e-discovery platforms
- Excellent writing, research, negotiation, and communication skills

- Base salary range of $140,000 - $180,000, commensurate with experience
