The Appellate Division, First Department of the New York State Unified Court System is currently seeking qualified individuals for two attorney positions. These positions are non-competitive and confidential, with a base salary of $82,198 plus $4,775 location pay. The successful applicants will be responsible for all aspects of the attorney disciplinary process and must have admission to the New York State Bar. They will serve in a confidential capacity, conducting legal research and preparing cases for administrative proceedings and litigation in the courts. The positions are located at the Appellate Division, First Department in New York, NY.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and prepare cases for administrative proceedings and litigation in the courts
- Serve in a confidential capacity and handle sensitive legal matters
- Manage a significant caseload and conduct complex investigations
- Represent the Unified Court System in disciplinary matters before the Appellate Division
- Write confidential memoranda, petitions, motions, and legal briefs
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
- Complete assigned tasks and duties as required

Qualifications:
- Admission to the New York State Bar
- Excellent legal research and writing skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive matters in a confidential manner
- Experience in litigation and administrative proceedings preferred
- Knowledge of mental hygiene legal services and attorney disciplinary committees a plus
- Familiarity with 18B panel administration and other related units desirable
