Job Title: Children's Attorney (in guardianship court)
Job Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the Children's Attorney at the organization is to represent children in guardianship actions. The attorney will advocate for the rights of children in guardianship court, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights are preserved and enforced. This role involves being at the forefront of a new area of practice, helping to shape and enforce meaningful protections for children. The attorney will work closely with a dynamic team to champion justice for vulnerable children in the community.
Education and Experience Information:
The ideal candidate for the Children's Attorney position should have a strong commitment to public interest law and community service. While experience in litigation, as well as family, guardianship, and dependency law, is preferred, it is not a mandatory requirement. The ability to speak Spanish is beneficial. Candidates must be licensed attorneys in good standing from any United States jurisdiction. The state of Nevada offers special licensing for attorneys relocating to Nevada to provide legal services through the organization.
Salary Information:
The starting salary range for the Children's Attorney position is between $70,000 and $100,000, depending on experience, with opportunities for annual increases. The organization offers an excellent benefits package that begins on the date of hire, which includes:
