Job Title: International Trade Attorney - Income Principal
Job Responsibilities:
The International Trade Attorney at the law firm will focus on assisting the firm's diverse business clients with complex international transactions across various industry sectors. The role involves navigating the intricacies of international trade regulations, customs compliance, and trade agreements. Key responsibilities include advising and counseling clients on customs and import control matters, such as tariff classification, valuation, transfer pricing, audits, forced labor compliance, and customs enforcement of antidumping and countervailing duty orders. The attorney will collaborate with other attorneys in a wide range of practice areas and will have the opportunity to work on pro bono and public service matters. The firm encourages a client-service approach and exceptional communication skills, along with the ability to manage significant individual responsibilities and multiple projects simultaneously.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the International Trade Attorney position must have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school and be licensed to practice law. A minimum of seven years of experience in customs and import control matters is required, including expertise in tariff classification, valuation, transfer pricing, audits, forced labor compliance, and customs enforcement of antidumping and countervailing duty orders. Additionally, candidates must possess a portable book of business. Strong academic credentials, excellent analytical and writing skills, enthusiasm for working as part of a diverse team or independently, strong attention to detail, and organizational skills are essential.
Salary Information:
The annualized salary range for the International Trade Attorney position is between $200,000 and $325,000. The actual pay will be adjusted based on the candidate’s relevant experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
