Job Title: Managing Director
Job Responsibilities:
The Managing Director at the company is entrusted with the development and leadership of the Asset Management tax practice, with an emphasis on the hedge fund and cryptocurrency sectors. Responsibilities include directing tax compliance and consulting services for a diverse range of asset management organizations, from Fortune 100 companies to emerging businesses, focusing on tax reporting, structuring, and tax risk management. The role involves building, managing, directing, and monitoring multiple client engagement teams while maintaining active communication with clients to manage expectations and ensure client satisfaction. Additionally, the Managing Director is expected to lead, participate in, and contribute to market and business development activities external to the company, including identifying and pursuing new potential client service opportunities by collaborating with the company's Audit and Advisory practices. A significant responsibility is to contribute to the growth, experience, and institutional knowledge of the Asset Management tax practice staff-level team members.
Education and Experience Information:
The position requires a minimum of ten years of recent focused asset management and tax experience in an accounting firm, organization, or law firm. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and hold a CPA, JD/LLM, or Enrolled Agent license. A demonstrated track record of business development with the ability to develop and maintain existing internal and external client relationships and help build new relationships with key targets is essential. Experience in leading multiple engagements and client service teams, as well as developing and mentoring staff within a collaborative team environment, is also required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to evaluate and articulate complex information are necessary for this role.
Salary Information:
The salary range for this position in California is between $156,800 and $350,400. The offered salary is determined based on relevant factors such as the applicant's skills, job responsibilities, prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and market considerations.
