Duties

  • Advise boards of condominium and homeowners associations on governance, compliance, and operational matters

  • Draft, revise, and review governing documents such as covenants, declarations, bylaws, rules, and amendments

  • Review and negotiate contracts on behalf of association clients

  • Provide legal guidance on board elections, meetings, and enforcement of rules

  • Assist with dispute resolution through mediation and arbitration processes

  • Interpret Florida statutes and regulations related to community associations

  • Address questions regarding compliance, assessments, maintenance responsibilities, and liability issues

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of legal experience, preferably in community association or real estate law

  • Knowledge of Florida HOA and condominium statutes

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and client needs simultaneously

  • Experience in dispute resolution mechanisms such as arbitration and mediation is preferred

  • Client-focused approach with professional and timely communication

Education

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active membership in the Florida Bar (required)

Skills

  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and client communication abilities

  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills
