Job Title: Senior Paralegal

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide support to attorneys and legal staff by managing legal processes, receiving and reviewing requests for information, and maintaining legal information in various systems.
- Coordinate with outside counsel, witnesses, and internal subject matter experts, providing status updates on legal processes and responding to questions about legal matters.
- Help maintain, operationalize, and update standard operating procedures and best practices on legal processes, including legal discovery and company systems and access.
- Demonstrate and maintain knowledge of general and specific legal areas, particularly in the tort practice area.
- Ensure attorneys are aware of pending deadlines, assist with budgeting and invoice review.
- Assist attorneys with research and analysis by identifying necessary information and helping determine relevant facts to support legal arguments; ensure legal documents comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- Distribute document retention notices.
- Assist with conducting custodial interviews and drafting legal documents for responses to stakeholders on behalf of and in consultation with attorneys.
- Adhere to standard discovery procedures, quality assurance requirements, and operational systems; enforce company's Outside Counsel guidelines; collaborate with internal and external e-discovery partners to manage ESI strategy, contain costs, and meet case objectives.
- Maintain security and confidentiality of sensitive information, data, and communications.
- Draft, proofread, and update presentations, reports, and templates.

Education and Experience Information:
- A nationally recognized paralegal certification or an ABA-accredited paralegal degree AND 1 year of experience as a paralegal, legal analyst, or equivalent experience performing paralegal responsibilities as defined by the company's job description OR 2 years of experience as a paralegal, legal analyst, or equivalent experience performing paralegal responsibilities OR a juris doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- Preferred qualifications include a nationally recognized paralegal certification in a relevant specialty area of law (., NALS, NALA), and experience in a relevant specialty area of law in a law firm or corporate legal environment.
- A bachelor's degree in law is preferred.
