Job Title: Casualty Claims Adjuster
Job Responsibilities:
- Handle multiple injury or casualty features identified upon report or likely to arise during the investigation of the claim.
- Review all claims assignments to ensure accuracy of prior claim handling in the development of ongoing claims strategies.
- Proactively investigate and resolve coverage, liability, and damages related to claims.
- Ensure proper diary management on all claims to maintain timely and efficient processing.
- Accurately evaluate special and general damages associated with claims.
- Escalate all potential large loss and extra contractual exposures through the management chain for appropriate handling.
- Negotiate settlements of claims directly with the injured party, legal guardian, or attorney as necessary.
- Deliver customer service in accordance with company expectations to maintain positive client relationships.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred for candidates applying for this position.
- Candidates should have 3 to 5 years of claims experience managing injury inventory.
- Ability to secure and maintain an adjuster's license within 90 days of hire is required.
- Strong analytical and negotiation abilities are essential for performing the job effectively.
- Ability to work independently, think creatively, and exercise strong, sound judgment is necessary.
Preferred Skills:
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required, both verbal and written.
