Job Overview:

A regional, multi-state law firm is seeking a Dual-Licensed Attorney based in Tennessee with an active law license in Arkansas (or another additional jurisdiction) to join its growing creditors’ rights and collections litigation team. This full-time role involves managing a caseload from inception to resolution, with a focus on retail and commercial collection matters. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with litigation strategy and courtroom appearances, while contributing to a high-volume, efficiency-driven legal practice.

Location:

  • Memphis, Tennessee

Duties:

  • Represent creditors in retail and commercial collections litigation

  • Manage litigation files from initial review through judgment and post-judgment proceedings

  • Attend court appearances, hearings, and trials as required

  • Draft pleadings, discovery responses, motions, and legal correspondence

  • Advise clients on creditors’ rights, legal risks, and procedural requirements

  • Collaborate with legal support teams and compliance personnel

  • Ensure timely and professional communication with clients and court officials

Requirements:

  • Active law license in Tennessee

  • Additional active license in Arkansas (strongly preferred) or another jurisdiction

  • Prior experience with collections, commercial litigation, or creditors' rights is a plus

  • Ability to manage a fast-paced caseload with minimal supervision

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited . law school

Certifications:

  • Admitted to the bar in Tennessee

  • Admitted to the bar in at least one additional state (Arkansas preferred)

Skills:

  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills

  • Confident and professional courtroom presence

  • Familiarity with litigation procedures related to collections and enforcement

  • Ability to handle a high-volume practice while maintaining accuracy and efficiency

  • Client-focused mindset and strong interpersonal skills

  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
