Job Title: Engagement Consultation Manager
Job Responsibilities:
As an Engagement Consultation Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring regulatory compliance, with a focus on auditor independence rules and their impacts on the professional services environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating closely with Partners, Principals, Managing Directors (PPMDs), and Senior Managers within the department and service lines of the company.
- Interacting with leadership, including Lead Client Service Partners, Professional Practice Directors, and other client service teams, to provide guidance on engagement-related independence matters.
- Analyzing services and relationships with clients concerning independence requirements, including services within and outside the ., client mergers and acquisitions, and client IPOs.
- Reviewing client corporate or investment structures, investment interests, and the terms of investments to identify affiliates as defined in the independence rules.
- Performing research and analysis, drafting conclusions and communications, and strategizing on next steps with senior team members.
- Developing an enhanced understanding of the intricacies of AICPA, SEC, and PCAOB independence rules and the company's Independence policies.
- Interpreting and implementing new and existing regulations related to permissible non-attest services for the company's entities, and advising client-facing teams.
- Participating in policy setting by researching and drafting communications to increase awareness and understanding of current, new, or changing independence rules.
- Creating and revising training courses and materials to address rule changes and new interpretations of existing rules identified during consultations with regulators.
- Working independently and collaboratively on special projects with PPMDs and engagement teams, involving senior members for input as necessary.
Education and Experience Information:
- Required: Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting, finance, business, compliance, or legal fields.
- Experience: 5 - 8+ years of related experience, ideally in a professional services role and environment.
- Proficiency in standard office-productivity tools such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Teams.
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
- Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on work and clients served.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of Independence requirements for professional auditing firms.
- Experience in regulatory compliance, analysis, and interpretation of rules, regulations, and standards.
- Experience in public accounting.
- Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP standards.
- . CPA and/or advanced degree in related areas such as finance, accounting, business, or law.
Salary Information:
The wage range for this role considers various factors, including skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and business needs. The disclosed range estimate is $114,600-$191,000. Compensation decisions are dependent on individual facts and circumstances. Additionally, you may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to various factors, including individual and organizational performance.
