Job Title: Intern, Compensation & Benefits Tax Consulting
Job Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities for the Intern, Compensation & Benefits Tax Consulting position include:
- Benchmarking compensation and developing reports to support compensation recommendations for C-suite executives and the Board of Directors.
- Designing long-term incentive awards while considering tax, accounting, and other regulatory implications.
- Working on mergers and acquisitions, including performing complex calculations for target companies and their executives.
- Developing retention and incentive arrangements for companies undergoing restructuring.
- Researching emerging issues and areas such as tax reform legislation and new SEC requirements to keep clients informed of the ever-changing regulatory environment.
- Preparing tax calculations and various analyses/models to help clients make informed compensation decisions and comply with applicable rules and regulations.
- Drafting technical memorandums and letters related to compensation and benefits issues.
- Assisting with marketing initiatives by writing articles, preparing pitch decks, researching targets, and developing presentations.
- Teaming with other colleagues and participating in client meetings.
Education and Experience Information:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Pursuing an Advanced degree is preferred, including:
- Master's in accounting, finance, or tax.
- . (tax) or CPA (or in the process of pursuing) is a plus.
- Degrees in Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, or Business Management are also considered.
- Candidates should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to articulate complex information.
- Strong analytical skills and high proficiency in spreadsheets are required.
- Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and effectively manage deadlines is essential.
- High motivation to learn and grow is expected.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without the need for employment-based sponsorship now or in the future, as the company will not sponsor applicants for US work visa status for this role.
Salary Information:
The hourly rate for the position is $35 per hour.
