- Participants can choose from a variety of programs, including the Paralegal program
PARALEGAL PROGRAM
- Provides quality paralegal work experience
- Assists with preparation of legal documents for cases involving child support, spousal support, and health insurance issues
- Participants receive experience preparing legal documents and access to networking opportunities
- Placement areas include Family Law, Self-Help Centers, Domestic Violence Clinic, Guardianship Clinic, and Toll Family Law Counseling Center with LAFLA
- Open to students currently enrolled in paralegal schools, colleges, and universities throughout LA County
- Also open to individuals who have completed a Paralegal certificate program in paralegal schools, colleges, or universities
- Most programs allow for participation as a volunteer, with no pay or compensation from the Court or a third party
ELIGIBILITY AND APPLICATION PROCESS
- Applicants will be placed on an eligibility list for up to 6 months

VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS SUPPLEMENTAL QUESTIONNAIRE
- Applicants must complete a supplemental questionnaire to be considered for the program
- Questions include program/area of interest, preferred work locations, availability, and commitment length
- For those under 18 years old, proof of eligibility to work must be attached to the application
- For-credit internships are available and require accreditation or course credit for a school or certification program
- Applicants can also indicate if they were referred by an organization or if they are part of a cohort
