Job Title: Litigation Associate (Hybrid)

Job Responsibilities:
The Litigation Associate will be tasked with managing litigation and probate cases from inception to resolution with minimal supervision. This role requires maintaining accurate and timely billing of hours to meet a 1,500 billable hour requirement. The Associate Attorney will conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents, and represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and mediations. Effective communication with clients, courts, and opposing counsel is essential. The candidate must work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment, fostering and maintaining strong client relationships. Additionally, the associate will participate in business development opportunities to build their own book of business.

Education and Experience Information:
The position requires a minimum of 3+ years of experience in litigation. The ideal candidate should be efficient, detail-oriented, and possess strong organizational skills. Experience in accurately tracking and billing hours is necessary. The ability to work independently and manage caseloads effectively is crucial. There is a commitment to meeting a 1,500 billable hour requirement. Bonus experience includes having 5+ years of experience in litigation and probate and a desire and ability to build a personal book of business within the law firm.

Salary Information:
While specific salary figures are not provided, the position includes a range of benefits. These benefits include 15 days of total PTO plus firm-observed holidays, with the firm striving to be closed from Christmas Eve through January 3. Health and dental insurance are provided for the employee. There is a 3% firm contribution to a 401(k) plan, once eligible. The firm offers a guaranteed bonus for billings in excess of the minimum hours, rewarded quarterly, and a discretionary annual performance bonus.
