Job Title: Assistant General Counsel - Employment Law
Job Responsibilities:
The Assistant General Counsel in Employment Law at the company is tasked with a variety of responsibilities that include handling a broad spectrum of employment law matters. Key responsibilities include:
- Counseling HR professionals, executives, and managers on employment law issues related to hiring, compensation, promotion, performance management, disability and religious accommodations, leave, corrective actions, reductions-in-force, terminations, severance pay, and employment policies.
- Utilizing employment law expertise to develop creative and effective solutions for complex employment problems and challenges.
- Providing guidance to employee relations staff on managing employee relations workstreams on a daily basis.
- Investigating employee complaints regarding violations of company policy or applicable law, which involves interviewing witnesses, reviewing relevant documents, analyzing information, assessing witness credibility, preparing investigation reports, and making recommendations for remedial actions.
- Developing and facilitating interactive, scenario-based employment law training and other briefings for people managers and employees.
- Proactively identifying enhancements to employment law processes and practices.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the Assistant General Counsel position must possess:

- A detailed understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Advanced skills in workplace investigations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Salary Information:
The position of Assistant General Counsel - Employment Law has an annualized market-based salary range of $170,000 to $254,000 and is eligible for participation in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will be determined based on various factors, including responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity, and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
