Job Title: Legal Administrative Support
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support and assistance to Law Department colleagues including attorneys and leadership.
- Handle reception area duties and phone responsibilities.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail.
- Manage new file intake procedures.
- Order and download records as required.
- Perform other tasks as assigned in a fast-paced civil litigation environment.
Education and Experience Information:
Previous Experience:
- Experience working in an office environment.
- Strong customer service background.
- Experience with subpoenaing medical records is preferred.
Key Skills Required:
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, decision-making, multitasking, time management, and proactivity.
- Strong written and oral communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Accurate typing skills.
- Knowledge of legal and medical terminology, local and state rules regarding pleadings and pre-trial matters, deadlines, and filing requirements is an advantage.
- Experience with medical records collection through subpoenas and/or authorizations is a competitive advantage.
Technology/Software Experience Required:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Working knowledge of a Case Management system.
- Working knowledge of a Document Storage system.
Salary Information:
- Potential starting salary range: $47, - $53,.
- Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience.
- High end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience.
- Potential yearly incentive pay up to 9% of base salary.
Additional Details:
- Applicants are required to be eligible to lawfully work in the . immediately. The law firm will not sponsor applicants for . work opportunities.
- The position is classified as a hybrid role, requiring time in the office and virtually, with work arrangements subject to change based on business needs.
- Hours for the position are Monday-Friday 8:15 am - 5:00 pm.
