Job Responsibilities:
- Represent policyholders in first-party property insurance matters, including coverage disputes, claim denials, and bad faith claims.
- Conduct detailed reviews of insurance policies, claim documentation, and related materials to assess coverage and build strong cases for clients.
- Perform comprehensive legal research and analysis to develop innovative strategies and stay current with evolving first-party property insurance laws, regulations, and precedents.
- Manage a diverse caseload of first-party property insurance cases, including drafting legal documents, pleadings, and motions, and maintaining organized documentation.
- Use strong negotiation skills to engage with insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and other parties to seek advantageous settlements for clients.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials, utilizing persuasive advocacy skills to present compelling arguments.
- Provide clear and concise legal advice to policyholders, empowering them with knowledge and understanding of their rights and options under their insurance policies.
- Collaborate with a team of experts, fellow attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure seamless case management and optimal outcomes.
- Execute strategies to market to potential clients and build business in the Atlanta area with support from the Business Development and Marketing teams.
Education and Experience Information:
- At least 8+ years of litigation experience.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and excitement about growing a practice in a new market.
- Team player who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Passionate about helping clients and delivering real results.
Salary Information:
- Salary Range: $140, - $180, Base+Commission/year.
