Job Title: Specialty Tax Services Intern, Value Added Tax - Summer 2026
Job Responsibilities:
An International VAT Intern is tasked with leveraging their research skills and educational background to assist in consulting with clients across various industries on global indirect tax matters. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting clients and company client service teams in developing strategies, structures, and transactions with a focus on indirect tax matters.
- Conducting research, writing, and reviewing indirect tax advice to inform companies of their obligations and what foreign jurisdictions require concerning indirect tax.
- Performing research on international indirect tax matters and supporting more experienced staff to provide excellent client service.
- Developing responses to client proposal requests and coordinating with other specialists and client service teams on client and proposal work.
- Executing other duties as required.
Education and Experience Information:
Education:
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program is required, with a focus in Taxation or Law (LLM) preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Experience:
- Leadership experience is preferred.
License/Certifications:
- Not applicable.
Software:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is preferred.
Other Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions as directed.
- Strong analytical and basic legal and tax research skills.
