Experience and Responsibilities:
Our ideal candidate will have experience, or an interest in, a broad range of tax matters including . Federal income, international and state and local tax planning in connection with domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, investment fund formation and real estate transactions (including related documents, filings and transactional support), as well as tax controversy and disputes with the IRS, Tax Court, Department of Justice (Tax Division), and/or State Tax Authorities. The responsibilities of this position include working with the firm's tax practice group, conducting research and analysis on tax laws and regulations, drafting legal documents, and communicating with clients and other members of the firm.
Requirements:
To be considered for this position, candidates must have a Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA accredited law school and be a member of the Florida, Georgia, Illinois, or New York bars (depending on office location). Strong academic performance, excellent research, writing, and verbal communication skills are also required. An . degree in Taxation is preferred, but not required. The ability to work independently and efficiently, as well as in collaboration with a team, is essential for success in this role.
