The Los Angeles Superior Court is the largest unified trial court in the United States, with 580 judges and commissioners working in 36 facilities across 12 judicial districts. ABOUT THE PROGRAMS:
The Court's internship programs offer participants the opportunity to work in various departments and areas, such as Court Administration & Courthouse Operations, Judicial and Courtroom Operations, Family Court Services Mediation, and Paralegal work. These programs provide hands-on experience, access to networking opportunities, and an overview of Court processes and procedures.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Paralegal Internship Program at **Members Only** offers participants the opportunity to gain practical experience in preparing legal documents for cases involving child support, spousal support, and health insurance issues. The program is open to students currently enrolled in paralegal schools, colleges, and universities throughout LA County, as well as individuals who have completed a Paralegal certificate program. The program is designed to provide valuable experience and enhance understanding of the judicial system.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with the preparation of legal documents
- Work within the Family Law department, including Self-Help Centers, Domestic Violence Clinic, Guardianship Clinic, and Toll Family Law Counseling Center with LAFLA
- Participate in networking opportunities
- Gain an overview of Court processes and procedures

REQUIREMENTS:
- Currently enrolled in a paralegal school, college, or university in LA County OR completed a Paralegal certificate program
- Available for a commitment of at least 3 months
- Must be at least 18 years old (proof of eligibility to work required for applicants under 18)
- Must have a current and accurate email address for communication with the Court

SALARY:
The internship program is unpaid.
