Job Title: Assistant General Counsel – Remote

Job Responsibilities:
The Assistant General Counsel will be part of a global organization that focuses on improving health outcomes by connecting people with necessary care, pharmacy benefits, data, and resources. The role involves working in a challenging environment that provides clear directions for success and development opportunities. Responsibilities include:

- Collaborating across a matrixed business and legal environment.
- Managing regulatory issues related to financial services and healthcare industries.
- Drafting and managing commercial contracts.
- Evaluating and determining appropriate legal courses of action to meet business needs.
- Building and maintaining rapport with superiors, peers, subordinates, and external contacts.
- Adhering to the company’s Telecommuter Policy for remote work.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the Assistant General Counsel position are required to have:

- A Juris Doctorate degree.
- A minimum of 5 years of legal experience, with prior experience in financial services.
- A solid understanding of the health insurance and/or managed care industry.
- Experience with regulatory agencies in the financial services and/or healthcare industries.
- Experience with contract management and commercial contract drafting.
- Knowledge of US and state legal requirements, focusing on financial services and preferably healthcare regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated skills in written and verbal communication, presentation, and collaboration.
- A driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.

Preferred qualifications include:

- Experience with bank/fintech partnerships.
- Experience with health benefit accounts.
- Experience with commercial B2B and/or B2B2C payment products.
- Understanding of health care benefit coverage and medical policy development.

Salary Information:
The salary range for the Assistant General Counsel role is $106,800 to $194,200 annually, based on full-time employment. Compensation is determined by factors such as local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. In addition to salary, the company offers a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401k contributions, subject to eligibility requirements.
