Job Overview:
A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a highly qualified Associate Attorney to join its Corporate Department with a focus on employment and labor matters. This position may be based in Washington, ., or any of the firm’s . office locations. The role is ideal for an attorney with 5–7 years of employment law experience who is skilled in both advisory and transactional support for corporate clients.

Duties:
Provide strategic counsel to corporate clients on employment law compliance, including:
Worker classification
Wage and hour regulations
Immigration-related employment matters
Union and collective bargaining issues
Equal employment opportunity laws
Drafting and updating employment policies and handbooks
Draft and negotiate employment-related documents including:
Employment agreements
Separation agreements
Restrictive covenants (non-compete, non-solicit, confidentiality provisions)
Advise on workforce reductions and compliance with the WARN Act
Conduct employment-related due diligence for corporate transactions
Draft and interpret employment reps and covenants in transactional documents
Requirements:
5–7 years of employment law experience at a nationally recognized law firm
Strong knowledge of employment-related legal and regulatory frameworks
Experience handling employment law aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate deals
Proven ability to manage complex matters and client expectations
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited . law school
Certifications:
Active bar membership in good standing or eligibility to waive into the jurisdiction of the firm office where the attorney will be based (including Washington, .)
Skills:
Excellent legal research, drafting, and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
Capable of managing multiple assignments under tight deadlines
Team-oriented and client-focused work ethic
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with corporate teams
