Job Title: Senior Investigations Counsel

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and determine strategy for investigations, particularly those that are fast-moving and involve government authorities, complex internal investigations, and cross-border investigations.
- Determine the need for and maintain attorney-client privilege; conduct investigations under attorney-client privilege using internal resources or external counsel.
- Support the handling and reporting of investigations to government authorities when appropriate.
- Supervise external counsel on investigations and related matters.
- Support the preservation and collection of relevant data, ensure timely review and production of data, and track materials sought, collected, and produced as appropriate.
- Conduct internal investigations in a forensically sound, robust, fair, and timely manner, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, including employment and data privacy laws.
- Assist in developing strategies and processes to mitigate compliance risk based on investigation risk areas.
- Draft clear written reports and summaries, edit reports, and assist others with report drafting.
- Collaborate with other in-house lawyers, investigators, analysts, and data management teams.
- Participate in broader cross-functional projects and initiatives relating to investigations, compliance, and company culture.
- Inform relevant decision-makers of investigation findings on a timely basis and prepare and present summaries of the investigation.
- Assist in developing investigations policies and processes.
- Act with integrity, objectivity, and fairness.
- Apply sound legal judgment to address gray areas and interpret and apply the law.

Education and Experience Information:
- A law degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission and good standing in a state bar.
- 15+ years of experience handling complex investigations or litigation, including issues related to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, other anti-corruption issues, accounting fraud, cross-border investigations, and/or False Claims Act litigation.
- 5+ years of government investigations and enforcement experience, including interacting with prosecutors and regulators in the United States.
- Experience working directly with and reporting findings to senior stakeholders on significant investigations or legal issues.
- Experience working in a matrixed environment or with cross-functional teams.
- Experience independently handling and managing multiple complex matters simultaneously.
- Fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in-house at a multi-national company or at a global law firm advising multi-national businesses.
- E-discovery experience.
- Compliance experience.
- Foreign language fluency.

Salary Information:
- The salary range for this position is dependent on various factors including location, and the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
- Washington DC: $211,000 - $277,500.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan: Includes the opportunity for an annual bonus based on the performance of the business against unit objectives, individual performance, and individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.
- Health Benefits: Includes excellent health benefits with a choice of three medical plan options and a dental plan option, allowing employees to select their preferred level of coverage. Company credits are provided in an amount equal to the cost that the company pays toward medical and dental premiums for employees and eligible dependents.
- Financial Security: The company offers an automatic 3% contribution to the US 401(k) Plan and matches $1 for every $1 put into the 401(k) Plan on the first 3% of eligible pay, plus 50 cents on every $1 on the next 2% of eligible pay. Employees are also eligible for life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment coverage, and disability coverage. Participation in the company's Stock Purchase Plan is also available.
- Time Off: New employees receive a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, and 80 hours of sick time annually. Paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. The company also provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
