This role involves a mix of family-based and business-related immigration cases, with occasional involvement in criminal matters. Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in a wide range of immigration matters, including family-based petitions, employment-based visas, and naturalization processes.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of immigration applications, petitions, and supporting documentation with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide strategic guidance to clients regarding visa options, compliance, and immigration pathways tailored to their needs.
  • Handle occasional criminal-related cases that intersect with immigration, such as deportation defense and immigration consequences of criminal charges.
  • Conduct detailed legal research, draft memoranda, and prepare briefs to address complex legal issues.
  • Represent clients before government agencies, including USCIS, immigration courts, and administrative appeals boards.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through clear communication, regular updates, and a client-centered approach.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to analyze cases, develop innovative strategies, and achieve favorable results.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years practicing immigration law, with demonstrated expertise in both family-based and employment-based cases.
  • Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensure: Admission to the bar in any . state; Maryland licensure is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge: Strong familiarity with immigration laws, policies, and procedures, as well as an understanding of the intersections between criminal and immigration law.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including strong legal drafting and client-facing skills.
