The law firm of Ogletree Deakins is seeking an experienced employment defense attorney to join their EEO Advantage Administrative Charges team as a Special Counsel attorney. This unique opportunity offers a flexible part-time schedule with the potential for a full-time position, as well as the ability to work from home. The Special Counsel attorney will focus on handling administrative charges before federal, state, and local agencies, and will not have a billable hour requirement. Candidates must have extensive experience in preparing position statements in a large law firm or in-house practice. The successful candidate must also have a Juris Doctor degree and be licensed to practice law in their state of employment.
The Special Counsel attorney will be responsible for conducting investigations, assessing risk, interacting with clients, and preparing persuasive position statements. This role does not have a billable hour requirement and offers a flexible part-time schedule, with the potential for a full-time position. Candidates must have at least 10 years of recent experience preparing position statements, either in-house or at a large law firm. Superior analytical and writing skills are also required for this role.
Please note, a writing sample is required for consideration for the Special Counsel position, preferably a redacted position statement. This position may be remote, but the successful candidate must reside in a state where the firm has a physical office.
