Job Title: Commercial Counsel

Job Responsibilities:
- Review, draft, and negotiate a high volume of commercial agreements, focusing on deals related to sales, marketing, live events, content, corporate matters, vendors (such as ad technology, SaaS, and service providers), and other media-related transactions. This role requires a significant emphasis on hands-on drafting.
- Advise marketing, sales, live events, brand, and commerce teams from the initial stages of product or project development through to launch, ensuring legal compliance and risk management.
- Provide legal advice to various business teams, including Human Resources, IT, Finance, and other internal departments, on legal issues, risks, complex agreement structures, approval processes, company policies and procedures, and business strategy.
- Assist with dispute resolution and manage a variety of legal matters as they arise.
- Support the continuous improvement and updating of standard form agreements, legal processes, and compliance practices within the company.
- Act as a team player who is always ready to assist with a wide range of legal issues.

Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience is required, with experience in the media and/or entertainment industry being essential.
- Candidates must be attorneys in good standing, licensed to practice in New York or New Jersey.
- Must be adept at managing a high volume of projects from multiple sources simultaneously.
- Proven ability to establish relationships with stakeholders across various disciplines is necessary.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Candidates should be self-starters with a demonstrated ability to work independently.

Salary Information:
- The annual base salary range for this role is $160,000 - $175,000.
- The compensation range has been estimated in good faith, considering factors such as experience, level of education, knowledge, skills, and abilities required for a successful candidate. It also takes into account the company's budget and pay rates.
- The company reserves the right to make changes to its compensation estimates and job descriptions as needed.

- The company offers a hybrid work schedule with a minimum of 2 days per week required at the Jersey City, NJ headquarters.
