Our nationally recognized Intellectual Property team is growing—and we’re looking for a driven Intellectual Property Associate (Mid- to Senior-Level) to join us in Pittsburgh, PA or any of our other firm offices.

What You’ll Do:
- Interview inventors and prepare technically sound, strategic patent applications
- Handle all aspects of . and foreign patent prosecution, including ex parte appeals
- Conduct validity, infringement, and freedom-to-operate studies, with supporting opinion letters
- Provide legal guidance on patent, trademark, copyright, and basic licensing issues
- Gain experience in IP licensing and litigation
- Work closely with partners, associates, and staff to ensure seamless case management
- Stay ahead of IP trends and contribute to our thought leadership
What We’re Looking For:
- 2–5 years of hands-on patent prosecution experience
- JD from an accredited law school
- Technical degree (BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar preferred)
- Registered to practice before the . Patent and Trademark Office (or Patent Bar eligible)
- Exceptional legal writing and analytical skills
- Deep understanding of IP law—bonus if you bring litigation experience too
