Job Title: Associate - Transactional
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel and strategic advice on all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leases, development, and financing.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements related to commercial real estate, such as purchase agreements, lease agreements, financing documents, and joint venture agreements.
- Assist in due diligence for real estate transactions, reviewing contracts, title reports, and financial documents.
- Collaborate with clients, outside counsel, and other professionals (., brokers, lenders, and tax advisors) to ensure smooth and effective deal execution.
- Support clients in resolving disputes and issues arising in real estate or general business contexts, including through negotiation and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.
- Stay current with developments in commercial real estate and related regulations.
Education and Experience Information:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in New Jersey.
- 3-5 years of experience in transactional services, with a strong focus on commercial real estate. Knowledge of corporate transactional matters is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of commercial real estate transactions, including leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, and real estate finance.
- Solid understanding of real estate law, business transactions, and general business transactional matters.
- Experience in drafting and negotiating a variety of legal documents and contracts.
