Job Title: Senior Litigation Docketing Specialist

Job Responsibilities:

The Senior Litigation Docketing Specialist is tasked with providing comprehensive litigation docketing support across multiple jurisdictions for the law firm. This role is client-focused and detail-oriented, requiring the specialist to handle over 20 filings per day and manage more than six attorney requests. The position demands familiarity with local rules and the ability to conduct necessary research due to the firm’s operations in over 100 jurisdictions, each with unique rulings and filings. Initially, the role requires in-person attendance from Monday to Friday for the first 90 days, transitioning to a hybrid model with in-office presence required for at least two days per week thereafter.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading and assisting with incoming court filings.
- Reviewing legal documents to identify deadlines for Federal, State, and Appellate Courts.
- Entering litigation deadlines into the docketing database according to established procedures.
- Generating docket reports and responding to queries from attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants.
- Monitoring cases using various online resources and distributing documents to case teams as needed.
- Handling case team inquiries and requests efficiently.
- Assisting with team reviews and training, providing feedback and updates.
- Processing incoming litigation matters from various courts and agencies.
- Leading multiple high-complexity projects assigned by the manager.
- Maintaining and enforcing Litigation Docketing Team protocols.
- Assisting the Litigation Docketing Manager with advanced reporting, complex docketing procedures, and task assignments.
- Performing other duties as necessary to meet the position’s requirements.

Education and Experience Information:

Candidates for the Senior Litigation Docketing Specialist position must have a minimum of five years of experience in litigation docketing, calendaring, and civil procedures. A Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience in a similar role is required. The role demands in-depth knowledge of litigation procedures, court websites, and litigation docketing software and procedures. The ability to provide clear and concise training on litigation docketing processes and procedures is essential. Candidates must be capable of handling and maintaining confidential or sensitive information and work effectively with all levels within the firm. Strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) are required.

Salary Information:

The salary for the Senior Litigation Docketing Specialist position is determined by considering the candidate’s education, training, experience, the position’s work location, external market, and internal value, including seniority and merit systems. In Colorado, the salary range is to per hour. Additionally, a discretionary bonus may be available based on performance.
