Associate Attorney The candidate' will be expected to appear on time to court up to 5 days per week. Will be expected to review all the cases and prepare the relevant orders for each of those calls, trials and motions. Furthermore are responsible for negotiating with defendants and attorneys while at court, phone, e-mail, and regular mail to settle contested cases. Will also draft and file motions as well as responses to motions from defendants. Will required to provide own reliable transportation to get to each court house, which will be in various counties. There may be extensive daily driving. Primary Responsibilities: Court Appearances - Attorney is required to correctly prepare, appear timely, and properly handle court appearances in any surrounding counties. It is your responsibility to ensure you are able to timely and reliably appear on time at the given courthouse. may need to travel overnight for certain locations, driving a car is required for almost all locations. Review of New Account Placements- Based on firm's attorney involvement policies and procedures. Volume will vary day to day, week to week, month to month. Mid Litigation Motions and Responses - Attorney may be required to draft, review, and file any necessary motions during the course of litigation. Trials and Arbitrations - Attorney may be required to prepare for trials/arbitrations as necessary for the firm which may include overnight stays in distant counties. Communications with Attorneys, Employers, and Consumers - Attorney is required to communicate with consumers, consumer's employers, and consumer's attorneys as necessary to resolve accounts/suits. Requirements: Licensed and in good standing in the State of Nevada to practice law. Additional licensing in other states (IL, KS, IA, NE, ID, CA, WA, OR, AK, HI, MO) is welcomed. Comfortable appearing in court and the ability to appear on time consistently using your own method of transportation.
