Job Title: ServiceNow Configuration & Asset Management Engineer

Job Responsibilities:
The ServiceNow Configuration & Asset Management Engineer is tasked with leveraging extensive experience in ServiceNow development to manage and enhance the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and its integration with Information Technology Operations Management (ITOM) and Information Technology Asset Management (ITAM) functionalities. Key responsibilities include:

- Designing, implementing, and maintaining CMDB solutions
- Developing relationship mappings, maintaining the data dictionary, and enforcing governance for data accuracy
- Enhancing CMDB structures to support ITIL processes and business needs
- Designing and implementing applications to meet ITOM and ITAM requirements
- Creating custom workflows, policies, and scripts for automation and platform enhancement
- Building and maintaining integrations using REST, SOAP, JDBC, and MID Servers
- Managing ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping for data enrichment
- Integrating and aligning CMDB with ITAM for resource tracking
- Automating asset lifecycle processes from procurement to decommissioning
- Defining and monitoring KPIs for CMDB health and data quality
- Developing dashboards and reports for actionable insights
- Assisting in maintaining the ServiceNow Common Service Data Model (CSDM)
- Collaborating with management to develop strategic plans
- Driving innovation and improving productivity with ServiceNow stakeholders
- Ensuring 24/7 access to ServiceNow applications
- Tracking bugs, fixes, and testing critical applications
- Designing update and backup procedures with proper documentation
- Managing change control and release management processes
- Evaluating and reporting on ServiceNow instance health
- Providing consultative technical leadership to the platform team
- Performing additional duties as assigned

Education and Experience Information:
Required:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, iManage, and other firm applications after orientation
- Ability to work extended and/or weekend hours
- 4+ years of direct experience in technical-related fields specializing in ServiceNow architecture, implementations, design, and development
- Senior candidates require 6+ years of experience
- Expertise in ServiceNow modules, configuration changes, and performance issue identification
- Experience with ServiceNow discovery, configuration management (CMDB), and scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, or PowerShell
- Proficiency in web services (REST, SOAP) and knowledge of XML and JSON
- Understanding of ITIL (change, incident, problem management), Hardware and Software Asset Management
- Strong understanding of Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM)
- Experience in requirements gathering and coordination with Business Analysts and developers

Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or related fields
- Advanced degree in related disciplines
- Familiarity with IS infrastructure, hybrid cloud environments, and CMDB maintenance challenges
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills
- Prior experience in a law firm
- ServiceNow certifications (CSA, ITOM Implementation Specialist, CAD)
- Experience with ITIL frameworks and operational best practices
- Extensive experience as a ServiceNow developer with proficiency in scoped application development and scripting
- Strong knowledge of ServiceNow ITOM (Discovery, Service Mapping) and ITAM modules
- Proven ability to design and manage integrations with external systems
- In-depth understanding of CMDB data models and governance
- Expertise in asset lifecycle automation and ITIL process alignment

Salary Information:
The expected annual pay range for this full-time position is $110,000 - $155,000. The final offer amount will depend on geographic location, applicable experience, and skillset. Senior level candidates may be eligible for a higher salary range based on experience.
