Job Title: Litigation Docketing Paralegal

Job Responsibilities:
The Litigation Docketing Paralegal is responsible for managing and maintaining legal deadlines and providing litigation docketing support for the law firm. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local rules as well as practices and procedures across multiple states, districts, and practice areas. Key responsibilities include:

- Independently managing docketing for designated groups, which may include specific offices, practice groups, or jurisdictions.
- Thoroughly reviewing filed documents and written docketing requests to ensure all deadlines are identified and recorded accurately.
- Researching statutory, agency, court, and individual judges’ rules and practices, and applying them appropriately.
- Verifying the accuracy of docketed items and deadlines generated by the docketing software.
- Regularly communicating with case teams to gather additional information necessary for accurate case docketing maintenance.
- Generating and distributing docket reports to case teams.
- Responding professionally and promptly to all inquiries from case teams regarding deadline calculations, court and agency rules and procedures, and firm docketing guidelines.
- Maintaining an updated working knowledge of rules and procedures within the designated docketing group.
- Assisting with team reviews and training by providing feedback and updates as needed.
- Leading multiple high-complexity projects as assigned by the Docketing Manager.
- Maintaining and helping enforce Litigation Docketing Team protocols.
- Assisting the Docketing Manager with additional duties as needed, including advanced reporting, complex docketing procedures, and assigning work to other team members.
- Performing additional duties and tasks as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to supporting the law firm’s overall objectives.

Education and Experience:
Candidates for the Litigation Docketing Paralegal position must possess the following qualifications:

- A Paralegal Certificate or undergraduate degree is required.
- A minimum of five years of litigation-specific docketing experience is required.
- Experience with Court Alert, CompuLaw, or similar docketing software is required.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of the litigation process, court rules, and procedures.
- Strong demonstrable knowledge of the federal and state court systems, as well as arbitration, mediation, and administrative government agencies.
- Proven ability to learn new software applications.
- Familiarity with PACER and other electronic case filing systems.
- Ability to deliver superior docketing services efficiently, accurately, and timely.
- Strong critical thinking skills to process complex orders and analyze effects on other case deadlines.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to changing business demands.
- Professional integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust with case teams.

Salary Information:
The salary for the Litigation Docketing Paralegal position is determined by considering the candidate’s education, training, and experience, as well as the position's work location, external market, and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment. The Colorado Salary Range is - per hour. A discretionary bonus may be available based on performance.
