Job Title: Restructuring, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Associate or Counsel

Job Responsibilities:
The position at the law firm involves joining the Restructuring, Insolvency, and Bankruptcy practice, focusing primarily on commercial foreclosure and commercial real estate litigation matters. The candidate will handle work for government-sponsored enterprises, special servicers, banks, and CLOs. Key responsibilities include:

- Advising clients on commercial foreclosures, commercial real estate litigation, and creditor rights matters for various types of commercial real estate, including hospitality, multifamily, retail, office, and industrial properties.
- Managing all aspects of the commercial foreclosure process, which encompasses reviewing titles, drafting notices of default, pre-negotiation letters, foreclosure complaints, receivership motions, sale confirmation documentation, and summary judgment motions and briefing.
- Litigating disputed foreclosure actions, which involves appearing in court, handling oral arguments, and managing discovery processes.
- Handling commercial real estate receivership, lien priority, and fraudulent transfer litigation in both federal and state courts.
- Drafting forbearance agreements and loan modifications.
- Familiarity with and/or interest in commercial bankruptcy and single asset real estate cases is preferred.

Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of 2 years of law firm experience is required.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in commercial foreclosure is necessary.
- The candidate should be licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and be in good standing.

Salary Information:
Pursuant to Illinois law, the salary range for this position is based on experience:
- Associate: $235,000 to $345,000
- Counsel: $175,000 to $210,000

Technical Skills:
- At least 2 years of law firm experience is required.
- At least 2 years of relevant commercial foreclosure experience is required.

Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and be in good standing.
