Job Title: Tax Manager - Private Wealth

Job Responsibilities:
- Perform high-level reviews of tax research for individual, fiduciary, partnership, closely-held corporations, estate, and gift work papers and tax returns.
- Prepare and lead client meetings on compliance and consulting projects related to tax planning opportunities and tax implications of transactions.
- Train, mentor, and supervise new and experienced Tax Consultants and Tax Seniors.
- Take on lead client-contact roles, billing, and profitability analysis on engagements.
- Involved in marketplace eminence building and pursuits.
- Deliver compliance and consulting services to individual clients, trusts, estates, family offices, investment vehicles, charitable pursuits, and closely-held business concerns.
- Provide solutions to complex tax issues.
- Collaborate with Deloitte’s Private Wealth practice to cater to the specialized needs of ultra-affluent clients, including families with multigenerational wealth, entrepreneurs, family offices, and closely-held business owners.
- Offer comprehensive, independent, and objective wealth transfer planning advice.
- Assist clients in making informed, strategic decisions relevant to personal financial comfort, business and investment needs, family legacy, and charitable giving.

Education and Experience Information:
- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model requiring US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2 – 3 days per week.
- Ability to travel up to 25%, on average, depending on the work, clients, and industries/sectors served.
- 5+ years of public accounting experience, with at least 3 years in investment management.
- Licensed CPA in the state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA, or a licensed attorney, or Enrolled Agent if not CPA eligible.
- Certifications such as Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA) or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) are required.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related fields.
- Experience reviewing partnership and/or trust documents.
- Experience managing projects including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence, and billing.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Excellent research and writing skills.
- Preferred advanced degree such as MST, MAcc, JD, or LLM.
- Prior experience in Big 4 or large CPA firm is advantageous.
- Knowledge of fund accounting and general ledger accounting is preferred.

Salary Information:
- The wage range for this role is $93,660 to $213,200.
- Compensation decisions take into account factors including skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
- Eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to program rules, where awards depend on individual and organizational performance.
