- Conduct legal research and summarize Appellate and Supreme Court decisions that impact the department
- Work closely with two specific units within Legal and Legislative Affairs
- Assist with reviewing cases for appeal eligibility
- Write Final Agency Decisions after Office of Administrative Law hearings
- Assist with immigration issues and education for department staff and stakeholders
