Job Title:
Real Estate Attorney

Job Responsibilities:
As a Real Estate Attorney at the law firm, you will be an integral part of the Real Estate practice group, working on complex development projects. Your responsibilities will include:

- Assisting in servicing private and public clients with a diverse portfolio of projects, such as affordable housing, market-rate apartments, residential and resort communities, retail, warehouse, public infrastructure, and community development.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various agreements including purchase and sale agreements, development agreements, ground leases, retail, office and industrial leases, construction contracts, loan and security agreements, easement agreements, and other ancillary agreements.
- Conducting legal research and providing legal opinions.
- Performing title and survey reviews, as well as other due diligence.
- Maintaining a commitment to delivering consistent, quality work, with a focus on excellence in writing and editing.
- Collaborating with team members and learning from others to enhance your expertise and improve your craft.

Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree and a Juris Doctor (.) are required.
- Bar admittance in New York is mandatory.
- Candidates should have 2-4 years of relevant experience in areas such as commercial and residential transactions, debt and equity transactions, conducting transaction due diligence, and preparing opinions of counsel.
- Experience in commercial and/or apartment building leases, title and survey review, and related work is required.
- Transferrable experience in municipal, project finance, and land use matters is recognized.
- Additional experience in construction loans, economic development incentives, offering plans for condominiums and homeowners associations, and tax credits (LIHTC, NMTC, HTC, and Brownsfields) is advantageous.

Salary Information:
- The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $132,500.
- The role is eligible for a performance bonus of up to 50% of the salary.
