Job Title: Senior Construction Attorney
Job Responsibilities:
As a Senior Construction Attorney at the law firm, you will be responsible for managing a diverse range of civil litigation cases from their inception through to resolution. Your duties will include conducting legal research, analyzing data, and developing strategic approaches to case management. You will be required to communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court, ensuring that all parties are informed and engaged throughout the legal process. Drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs will be a critical component of your role, as well as attending hearings, depositions, and trials as necessary. A specific focus will be on defending a variety of Civil Litigation Defense matters, including General Liability, Personal Injury, Product Liability, Professional Liability, and Construction Defect, which is a required area of expertise for this position.
Education and Experience Information:
The ideal candidate for this position will possess over 10 years of relevant experience in Civil Litigation Defense and Construction Law. Experience with Insurance Defense clients and Construction Law is essential. The candidate should have proficiency in writing motions and other legal memoranda, summarizing depositions, and preparing for trials. The ability to work independently from the start of a suit through to its settlement or trial is preferred.
The required educational qualifications include a , and an active Pennsylvania Bar License is mandatory. While an active New Jersey Bar license or the ability to transfer UBE scores is preferred, candidates who can waive into the New Jersey Bar and have multiple bar admissions will be ideal. However, the law firm is open to considering candidates with just one bar admission.
