Latham & Watkins is seeking a highly qualified associate to join our Emerging Companies & Growth Practice. This position is open to candidates with a minimum of 2 years of experience in emerging growth companies, public companies, and/or capital markets. As part of our 3rd to 5th year associate class, the selected candidate will have the opportunity to work with a team of experienced attorneys and gain valuable experience in a dynamic and growing practice area.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in emerging growth companies, public companies, and/or capital markets
• Strong academic credentials and excellent communication skills
• Must be admitted to the State Bar of California or willing to take the California Bar Exam

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with partners and senior associates on a variety of corporate transactions, including venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, and other general corporate matters
• Conduct due diligence, draft and review corporate documents, and assist with negotiations
• Provide support to clients and participate in client meetings and calls
• Stay current on emerging trends and developments in the corporate and emerging companies space
