The law firm is seeking a highly motivated and qualified lateral associate to join our Corporate Finance team in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will have experience in debt finance at a peer firm and preferably some private equity acquisition finance experience. Experience with oil and gas-related transactions is a plus. Responsibilities
• Representing borrowers and lenders in debt finance transactions
• Assisting with private equity acquisition finance deals
• Conducting legal research and drafting legal documents
• Communicating with clients and other attorneys involved in transactions
• Participating in business development and marketing efforts
• Staying updated on industry developments and best practices
Qualifications
• Law school graduate from class years 2017 through 2020
• Experience in debt finance at a peer law firm
• Familiarity with private equity acquisition finance
• Knowledge of oil and gas-related transactions preferred
• Strong research, writing, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Salary Information
• Annual compensation range: $310,000 - $420,000
• Salary offered within range based on qualifications and operational considerations
