Job Responsibilities:
The Tax Partner in the Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) - Real Estate team at the company will have a multifaceted role that includes providing federal and state tax planning, consulting, structuring, and compliance services to high-net-worth clients. The candidate will be integrated into the UHNW national leadership team to engage with strategic clients and develop solutions to clients' tax needs. Responsibilities include:
- Aligning with the UHNW practice and collaborating closely with the real estate team.
- Reviewing tax returns for wealthy individuals, family members, trusts, investment entities, and private businesses, primarily focusing on real estate investments.
- Engaging in business development and managing a book of business.
- Planning client engagements, providing tax consulting services, managing compliance projects, and supervising and reviewing the work of team staff members.
- Developing and maintaining outstanding client relationships through exceptional client service and communication.

Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
- Candidates must have a CPA License or JD.
- A minimum of 12 years of experience dealing with high-net-worth clients is required.
- Experience should include reviewing tax returns for wealthy individuals and family members, their trusts, investment entities, and private businesses, with a focus on real estate. Exposure to business returns, private equity, and hedge funds is beneficial but not required.
- Strong experience with private client services, including personal taxation, trust taxation, estate & gift taxation, charitable taxation, flow-through entities, partnership taxation, and corporate taxation, including State & Local income (SALT)/Franchise tax for multi-state filers.
- Preferred qualifications include a Master's Degree in Taxation or Law Degree, experience with a Big 4 or large national, regional, or local accounting firm, or large family offices, and experience working with private foundations.
- Exposure to reporting and filings related to foreign assets, investments, and holdings is also preferred.
- Proven ability to develop new business relationships and expand services to existing clients is advantageous.
