Overview:
BDO is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Specialty Tax Services Associate to join our rapidly growing Business Incentives Group (BIG). As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with innovative companies in a variety of industries and assist them in identifying and claiming government incentives to promote innovation, economic growth, and job creation in the . You will also focus on credits available for companies investing in sustainability and green initiatives. Responsibilities:
As a Specialty Tax Services Associate, you will have the opportunity to:
- Assist in the execution of multiple client engagements
- Collaborate with other STS BIG professionals to innovate and develop better strategies and processes for our services
- Build effective working relationships with STS BIG professionals, our clients, and other BDO employees
- Develop your technical acumen and contribute to STS BIG's market prominence
- Stay up-to-date with local and national business and economic issues
- Participate in business development activities, including networking and identifying opportunities for new and existing clients
- Contribute to the culture of STS BIG, our local offices, and BDO as a leading global professional services firm
- Pursue opportunities to enhance and improve your professional skills in various areas, including technical, interpersonal, and project management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, Communications, or Law (preferred)
- Leadership experience (preferred)
- Accounting-based internship (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically advanced knowledge of Excel and intermediate knowledge of Word (preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Entrepreneurial spirit and leadership mentality
- Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Initiative and drive to lead and seek opportunities for growth
Salary Information:
Individual salaries offered to candidates are determined after considering various factors, including qualifications, experience, skills, and location. The salary ranges for different locations are as follows:
- California: $78,000 - $120,000
- Illinois: $74,000 - $100,000
- Maryland: $75,000 - $100,000
- Minnesota: $72,000 - $100,000
- NYC/Long Island/Westchester: $82,000 - $120,000
- Washington: $78,000 - $120,000
- Washington DC: $75,000 - $100,000
