Job Title: State & Local Tax Services Senior Manager
Job Responsibilities:
The State & Local Tax Services Senior Manager at the company is responsible for coordinating, planning, and managing client engagements specifically within the realm of state and local income tax. The individual will serve as the primary client contact and is expected to provide exceptional client service. Responsibilities include managing and developing staff, senior staff, and managers through coaching and training. The role requires leveraging an external network, leading sales and cross-collaboration efforts, and providing thought leadership along with California state technical expertise in state and local tax. Additionally, the individual will assist in transformation efforts for state and local tax.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred.
- The candidate must have CPA, JD/LLM, or CMI certification.
- A minimum of 8 years of tax experience in public accounting with a focus on state and local tax is required.
- The candidate should possess strong research, writing, and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain excellent client relationships.
- The ability and desire to perform in a high-energy, dynamic environment is essential.
- While some review and supervisory experience is a plus, it is not mandatory.
Salary Information:
The salary for this position is influenced by various factors including skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The wage range is estimated to be between $120, and $302, per year. It is noted that it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, as compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
