Job Title: Global Head of Cyber Claims

Job Responsibilities:
The Global Head of Cyber Claims is a pivotal role within the company, responsible for leading and developing a sophisticated team of claims professionals. The primary responsibilities include:

- Acting as the single point of contact for the Head of Global Cyber and Technology, and serving as a member of the Global Cyber & Technology Leadership Team.
- Providing aggregate reporting for North America Cyber Claims and International Cyber Claims.
- Representing Axis Cyber Claims to internal and external clients and customers.
- Leading and developing teams, including the Head of North America Cyber Claims and the Head of International Cyber Claims, ensuring effective management of claims.
- Overseeing the investigation, analysis, and evaluation of coverage liability and damages, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Collaborating closely with the Head of Specialty Claims on coverage disputes, including litigation and arbitration matters involving Axis issuing companies.
- Formulating claims and litigation strategies, managing outside counsel, and providing guidance to the North America Claims teams.
- Managing costs related to coverage counsel and litigation, collaborating with the Litigation Management and Vendor Management teams for cost management and enhancement of the Professional Lines panel.
- Collaborating across disciplines and business units, including with the general counsel team, to address errors and omissions issues arising from claims handling.
- Identifying liability and coverage trends and issues, formulating processes and strategies for handling claims, and ensuring consistent claims management across underwriting segments and lines of business.
- Supporting underwriting inquiries and information requests related to policy construction, claim trends, data analysis, and risk assessments.
- Actively coaching and mentoring direct reports, providing feedback, and developing employees for broader roles and responsibilities.
- Recruiting, hiring, and retaining top talent, and developing appropriate succession plans.
- Building and maintaining key relationships with internal stakeholders (., peers, Underwriting, Actuarial, executive management leaders) and external stakeholders (., brokers, insureds, attorneys, auditors, reinsurers, and vendors).
- Engaging in extensive communication with senior executives, brokers, reinsurers, actuaries, insureds, and auditors.

Education and Experience Information:
- 7-10+ years of claims management experience in Cyber or Professional Lines Claims.
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and management skills.
- Experience practicing law and in claims management (both directly managed and TPA managed claims).
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate at all organizational levels, both internally and externally.
- Analytical thinker with the ability to drive results using all facets of the legal and claims processes.
- Understanding of and ability to balance immediate claim issues with broader portfolio impact and customer service impact.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to deal effectively with people with conflicting expectations, differing opinions, and multiple viewpoints.
- Demonstrated ability and experience handling Cyber claims involving a wide variety of loss scenarios.
- In-depth knowledge of claims, litigation, arbitration, and trial processes.
- Law Degree and admission in good standing to one of the fifty state bars or educational equivalent, a plus.
- Travel may be associated with this role (., team management, court proceedings, mediations, and settlement).

Salary Information:
For this position, the expected base salary is around $240,000 - $260,000. The salary offer will be based on an assessment of various factors, including specific experience and work location. In addition to the base salary, target incentive compensation is offered, with awards based on overall corporate and individual performance. The role is eligible for a comprehensive and competitive benefits package, which includes medical plans for the employee and family, health and wellness programs, retirement plans, tuition reimbursement, paid vacation, and more. In the United States, this role is Exempt for FLSA purposes.
