Responsibilities:
As a Litigation Attorney at Goldberg, Miller & Rubin, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks to support our clients and their legal needs. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Drafting pleadings, correspondence, memoranda, and other legal documents
- Recording and disseminating all information on behalf of clients
- Summarizing medical records and highlighting important information
- Writing reports to clients summarizing the status of their case and outlining next steps
- Identifying, researching, and analyzing legal issues and conflicting legal opinions
- Taking and defending depositions, handling arbitrations, and arguing motions
- Attending in-person and virtual court appearances
- Providing legal representation for clients in defense of complex and high exposure litigation
- Explaining the litigation process to clients who may be unfamiliar with it
- Taking charge of cases and working towards cost-effective, efficient, and fair resolutions
- Juggling multiple assignments and deadlines effectively
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in civil litigation; experience with automobile negligence or general liability is a plus, but not required
- Experience handling depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and other complex assignments
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
- Good judgment and organizational skills
- Ability to manage a large caseload and handle day-to-day tasks involved in cases
- A strong desire to learn and grow in the legal profession
- Strong verbal and interpersonal skills to effectively work with senior attorneys, partners, staff, clients, opposing counsel, and the court system
- Experience with time billing
Salary Information:
The salary for this position starts at $100,000 a year. However, compensation may vary depending on experience and qualifications.
