Location:

Duties:

  • Manage patent prosecution and counseling work for high-tech clients
  • Engage with engineers and developers on complex technology issues
  • Interact directly with clients, including major tech companies
  • Provide strategic patent advice and counsel to clients
  • Work on additional related legal tasks as required
  • Analyze patent applications and offer legal insights and recommendations

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in patent prosecution and counseling
  • Background in electrical engineering, computer engineering, applied physics, computer science, or related technical field
  • . law degree from an ABA-accredited law school
  • . bar membership
  • Registration to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)

Education:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Physics, Computer Science, or a related technical field
  • Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • . bar membership
  • Registration with the USPTO

Skills:

  • Strong technical understanding of patent law and technology
  • Proficient in patent prosecution and counseling
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with clients and senior partners
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Capable of managing client relationships effectively
