International Tax Senior Consultant, Global Trade Advisory
Job Responsibilities:
As a Senior Consultant in the Global Trade Advisory team, the candidate will be involved in engagements that require regulatory analysis for various entities and their affiliates. The responsibilities include:
- Assisting importers and exporters in achieving compliance and enhancing efficiencies in their global supply chain.
- Advising . and foreign multinational companies on import and export strategies and compliance.
- Collaborating with clients to assess and implement technology solutions for international trade management.
- Providing planning and compliance assistance, and exploring automated import and export solutions.
- Engaging in supply chain efficiency planning, including trade and security, customs valuation planning, first sale for export planning, and the analysis of transfer pricing policies to ensure compliance with customs valuation requirements.
- Assisting in process improvement planning and implementation.
- Offering trade compliance audit assistance and representation before trade authorities globally.
Education and Experience Information:
Required:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a legal, business, or technology-related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in import, export, and/or technology enablement (operational, government, law firm, or consulting).
- Experience with . import regulations.
- Knowledge of export regulations, including ITAR/EAR.
- Ability to travel up to 25%, on average, depending on work and client needs.
- Active accreditations such as:
- Licensed CPA in the state of practice/primary office if eligible.
- Licensed attorney.
- Enrolled Agent.
- US Customhouse Broker's License.
- CUSECO (Certified . Export Control Officer).
- Foreign equivalent of the above certifications where applicable.
- CUSICO (Certified US Import Compliance Officer).
- Professional Accreditation in EU Customs Law (post masters).
Preferred:
- Prior consulting experience.
- Advanced degrees such as MST, MAcc, JD, or LLM.
- Foreign language skills or study abroad experience.
- Strong research, writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with trade management software like SAP GTS, Oracle GTM, etc., for managing import/export compliance.
- Project management experience with strong organizational, data management, project planning, project execution, and people skills.
- Ability to develop internal and external relationships and effectively discuss import/export/technology matters related to global trade.
- Detail-oriented and self-starter capable of handling multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, MS Project, Access, Excel, and/or Visio.
- SAP SD/MM Certifications.
Salary Information:
The wage range for this role is estimated to be between $77,070 to $175,500. This range considers various factors such as skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, and compensation decisions are based on individual circumstances.
In addition to the base salary, candidates may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program, which is subject to the rules of the program and depends on factors including individual and organizational performance.
Additional Information:
The position offers a hybrid work model requiring . Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week. The job also involves travel up to 25% based on work and client requirements.
