Law Firm Seeking Senior Director of Attorney Engagement & Optimization, Department: Accounting
**Members Only**, a nationally recognized law firm with eleven offices across the United States, is seeking a Senior Director of Attorney Engagement & Optimization to join our dynamic team. This position will report to the Firm’s Chief Financial Officer and will work closely with Business Unit and Group Leaders, non-partner attorneys, consulting professionals, and paralegals to facilitate effective communication, training and professional development, work assignment management, and support the Firm’s Summer Associate program. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a client-centered professional services environment, preferably in a law firm, and a strong background in business, organizational development, or related field.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Firm Management to develop and implement communication strategies for non-partner attorneys, consultants, and paralegals.
- Collaborate with Business Professionals to support and develop engagement programs and initiatives for non-partner associates, consultants, and paralegals.
- Evaluate work opportunities and workload projections for non-partner attorneys, consultants, and paralegals across all Business Units.
- Partner with Business Unit Leaders to enhance client assignments and professional development opportunities for non-partner attorneys, consultants, and paralegals.
- Identify and address professional development and training needs for non-partner attorneys, consultants, and paralegals.
- Manage workflow and utilization of non-partner attorneys, consultants, and paralegals.
- Lead the hiring and approval process for non-partner attorneys, consultants, and paralegals.
- Oversee the Summer Associate Program and strategically plan target numbers and interview potential candidates.
- Provide hands-on leadership for the Engagement & Optimization team.
- Assist with additional projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- JD degree preferred; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Organizational Development, or related field required.
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a client-centered professional services environment, preferably a law firm.
- Strong business acumen, analytical and financial skills, and professional development experience.
- Understanding of the levers critical to the successful operation of a client-centered professional services environment, preferably a law firm.
- Fluent in Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
- Collaborative and proactive communicator across functions and levels.
- Executive presence and ability to build effective relationships with attorneys, consultants, and paralegals.
- Self-motivated and able to anticipate problems and take initiative.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion.
- Understands the importance of client service in a professional services organization.
- Demonstrated management and leadership experience.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Salary Information:
- Base annual pay range: $250,000 - $300,000.
- Base pay offered will vary based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
